This individual will transport materials and goods via container semis or trailers around the premises and over the road for loading, unloading, and storage.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Transports products, materials, and goods via containers/trailers around the premises, from building to building, over the road for loading, unloading, and storage.
  • Delivery/pickup locations include Production and buildings 520 and 601.
  • Carries trailers to offsite locations for overflow storage, or to outside packaging companies.
  • Works with receiving clerk to track empty trailers on property.
  • Stays abreast of current state traffic laws.
  • Trains new drivers so they can obtain CDL License.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Performs additional related duties as required.

Specifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months related experience and/or training.
  • Commercial Drivers License.
  • Average score on basic skill test batteries.
  • Average score on mechanical concepts test batteries.
  • Uses hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reaches with hands and arms.
  • Sits frequently, stands, walks, stoops, kneels and crouches occasionally.
  • Lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds frequently and lifts and/or moves with mechanized assistance up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Qualified candidates should have a strong work ethic, HSD/GED and at least one year of solid work experience, (preferably in a warehouse environment).

Candidates MUST be 18+ years of age and be willing to participate in an interview process, supply professional references, and complete a required pre-employment drug screen.

Some of the production duties are:

  • Performs all requirements of order filling and stock put away, provides assistance throughout the warehouse.
  • Assists with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
  • Works with material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, dollies and handcarts.
  • Occasionally assists with inventory management, including cycle counts.
  • Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance to safety regulations.
  • Please note that this position has the physical requirements of lifting, carrying, moving items weighing up to 50+ pounds unassisted; occasionally performing the same activities with items weighing up to 70+ pounds.
  • Performs these duties and responsibilities with a strong focus on customer service.

Major Duties

Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Greets each customer upon contact and/or line of sight, assesses their needs, suggests alternative options, and provides resolution. Keeps their needs foremost and creates a welcoming environment, actively engages, and builds trust relationship with the customer in order to deliver a personalized shopping experience.
Leads associates utilizing effective communications skills. Trains and coaches associates to ensure they are well-equipped to provide a personalized shopping experience.
Ensures associates have product knowledge and sales skills to serve the customer in assigned area(s). Trains/coaches associates on merchandise presentation standards including, but not limited to, arranging space on sales floor, setting up promotional fixtures, displaying promotional merchandise signing, sizing, clearance, and cleanliness of the area.
